Foreign Office, July 25, 1911. GOVERNMENT of India will announce at once that reductions of 1,000 chests in each month will be made in the amounts of uncertified opium notified for sale in November and December.

It may be found possible to reduce sales in subsequent years below the 14,000 chests per annum thus arrived at.
